What is Late Lyrics?
-
Founded in 2018, Late Lyrics is a Portland-based hip hop and R&B open mic created to give local artists a real platform to showcase their talent and grow their independent careers.
More than just an open mic, Late Lyrics is a creative ecosystem — a networking hub and artist resource center where artists, producers, DJs, dancers, and media professionals connect, collaborate, and build momentum on and off the stage.
-
The right people(.)
Late Lyrics brings together Portland’s hip hop ecosystem in one space — artists, creatives, and industry support all under one roof.
In the room you’ll find:
• Artists & performers
• Hosts & DJs
• Producers & studios
• Videographers & photographers
• Dancers & collaborators
Through trusted partners, artists also gain access to:
• Beat and production services
• Professional stage photography
• Video coverage
• Radio and media submission opportunities
All designed to support independent artists and help them grow on and off the stage. Because building a career takes more than a mic — it takes community.
the Lab
